Sikkim:

A former Kingdom and a fascinating Himalayan Jewel, Sikkim is situated in Eastern Himalayas spreading below Mount Kanchenjunga (8,534m), the third highest mountain in the world. A small Himalayan State lying between 27 to 28 degrees North latitude and 88 to 89 degrees East longitude is the second smallest state in India. It is barely 7,096 sq km in size yet has an elevation ranging from 300 m to 8585 m above sea level. It's Geography is dominated by the most majestic mountain chain in the world which includes the Kanchenjunga, the world's third highest mountain and is  worshipped as the guardian deity to their land. The magical lure of Sikkim has always been attracting people all over the world. Its legendry mountains, landscape that defy imagination, all culminates into a masterpiece of the Creator. But you don't have to be the holy one to taste the beauty of Sikkim. Darjeeling:
Darjeeling is one of the most magnificent hill resorts in the world. This heavenly retreat is bathed in hues of every shade. The flaming red rhododendrons, the sparkling white magnolias, the miles of undulating hillsides covered with emerald green tea bushes, the exotic forests of silver fir - all under the blanket of a brilliant azure sky dappled with specks of clouds, compellingly confounds Darjeeling as the QUEEN OF HILL STATIONS. Darjeeling - the name is derived from the Tibetan word 'Dorje' which means the precious stone or ecclesiastical scepter, which is symbolic of the thunderbolt of Indra, and 'ling' - a place, hence the land of the thunderbolt. The scepter of Indra is believed to have fallen at a place where now stands the Observatory Hill.  The town of Darjeeling has an area of 11.44 sq. km and is situated at an altitude of 2134 m. The languages spoken out there are mainly Nepali, Bengali, Hindi and Tibetan.  This place is an embodiment of all visions that lead to serenity. Whichever way you look at it, the vibrant green hills steeped in splendor, a land of breathtaking beauty crowned by the majestic Himalayas ; from every standpoint beauty is the key word.
