Manaslu is located northwest of Kathmandu. With area of 1663 sq. km it is habitat of 33 species of mammals, 110 species of birds, 11 types of butterflies, 3 types of reptiles. The altitude rises from 600m to the summit of 8163 m Mt Manasulu eighth world's tallest peak. Summer temperature range between 22 to 25 degree Celsius and winter temperature goes below 0 degree. Snow fall is common in the winter.

After two nights stay in Kathmandu, the trek leads through the villages, terraced field, and evergreen forests. This camping trip give one of best oppertunities to view simple life style of people in hills and more.
